Virginia Democrat Susanna Gibson Backed (Watch Full Video's ) Neighbors After Online Sex Show Leaked

Nearly a week after videos of Virginia Democrat Susanna Gibson performing sex acts online with her husband for tips surfaced, her neighbors say that she still has their vote in the upcoming race for a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates, according to a report.

The videos show Gibson, 40, asking viewers on the internet platform Chaturbate to pay her and her husband with “tips” or “tokens” as they were performing the sex acts. Gibson lashed out after the videos were leaked, claiming they were "an illegal invasion of my privacy designed to humiliate me and my family."

'My political opponents and their Republican allies have proven they’re willing to commit a sex crime to attack me,' she said

Gibson’s neighbors told The Daily Mail that the leaked videos were just a part of some “dirty tricks” from Gibson’s political opponents. While one person who claims to be Gibson’s friend told the publication they were “shocked when the details came out,” Gibson still has their “vote.”

“I consider her my friend and it's certainly not the sort of thing you expect but she's still got my vote,” the friend, who wished to remain anonymous, reportedly said. “She's done the work, she's canvassed, and she's made it clear where she stands on the issues and that's what it comes down to. I think what came out should never have come out and it was done for the wrong reasons.”

Other supporters of Gibson have reportedly rallied behind her following the videos being leaked. Some have admitted to donating to Gibson’s campaign after hearing the news about the videos leaking.

Amanda Linton, 45, said she donated to Gibson’s campaign after hearing about the leaked videos and that she plans to donate again.

“Anybody who looks at this knows it’s a hit job,” Linton told the Associated Press. “It’s just nobody’s business. She didn’t break any laws by doing this. She had sex with her husband. I mean, my God."

Senate of Virginia’s President Pro tempore L. Louise Lucas shared a fundraiser for Gibson on social media, saying Virginia’s Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin’s team “leaked videos of Gibson “to try to embarrass and humiliate her and they failed completely. Now we are going to make this the biggest fundraising day of her campaign.”

Gibson, who is a nurse practitioner, is running for a highly contested seat in a competitive suburban district in Richmond. Her husband, lawyer John David Gibson, has already donated $5,000 to his wife’s campaign.

Gibson's lawyer, Daniel P. Watkins, told The Washington Post that sharing the videos could violate Virginia's revenge porn law, which forbids spreading sexually-explicit videos with the "intent to coerce, harass, or intimidate." The Washington Post was the first to report on the leaked videos, saying that they had been tipped off by an unidentified Republican operative.
